In addition to police and fire protection, residents of the Town of Oneida enjoy the following services:

Garbage Pickup

The town’s Sanitation Department collects household garbage five days each week. The town is subdivided for purposes of trash collection to allow pickup in each section of town once weekly.

If you’re new to town, contact City Hall at (423) 569-4295 to determine the day of the week trash is collected in your neighborhood.

Leaf/Debris Pickup

The town’s Street Department provides residential collection of brush and other lawn waste throughout the year, and leaf collection during the autumn months.

Right-of-Way Mowing

A major component of the Town of Oneida’s Street Department is right-of-way mowing for resident safety and aesthetic purposes. During the spring, summer and fall, Street Department crews mow right-of-ways on all public roads within the town. Right-of-way mowing includes state roads U.S. Hwy. 27 (Alberta Street), State Hwy. 297 (Coopertown Road) and State Hwy. 456 (Paint Rock Road), as well as city-owned streets.
