In addition to law enforcement within the town’s municipal limits, the department provides various public services and assists neighboring law enforcement agencies when they’re called upon to do so.

In 2022, the most recent year for which statistics are available, there were 289 criminal offenses reported to Oneida Police Department, and 72.3% of those were cleared. A total of 242 arrests were made, including 239 adults and three juveniles.
