Each December, the Christmas season is kicked off when the Scott County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade takes to the streets of Oneida.
The parade route has changed several times through the years. The traditional route in modern years is from Industrial Lane to Municipal Drive via Alberta Street (U.S. Hwy. 27). Local financial institutions, churches and businesses join schools, fire departments and others in putting their very best on display for the parade, which concludes with a visit from Santa Claus atop Oneida Fire Department's Ladder No. 1.
